NXT - the First Pure POS

Many alternatives of consensus mechanisms have been developed to overcome the problems related to Proof-of-Work, as the high energy consumption and the lack of scalability. Among all, the Proof of Stake stood out as the best. In this Crypto Daily article, Nxt has been covered as the very first blockchain platform, launched in 2013 by Jelurida, to rely entirely on a Proof-of-Stake consensus protocol. With time, more crypto projects turned to the PoS model and PoS variants, but still Nxt has been the pioneer.

The NFT sector is in rapid development and still in the blue ocean state. It is so popular because it allows the public to participate both in the production process of artworks and in auctions.
