Please read the announcement at https://www.jelurida.com/news/future-nxt to learn about the planned Nxt migration to an Ardor child chain. Release 1.13.0 implemented this migration for testnet, and as of block 5702880 on Oct 24, 2025, the Nxt testnet is no longer generating new blocks or processing transactions. Release 1.13.1 implemented it for mainnet, with hardfork scheduled for block 5915915 which happened on Nov 22, 2025.
As the forgers approved the migration decision, the Nxt blockchain stopped generating new blocks at block 6000000, on Jan 17, 2026. The final snapshot of Nxt balances was included in Ardor release 2.6.0, and will be imported as an Nxt child chain to be enabled at Ardor block 4333333.
Anyone who did not upgrade to 1.13.1 before the Nov 22 hardfork must redownload the blockchain as 1.12.3 and older versions are now on a fork that will not resolve by itself.

The Nxt Reference Software is released under the open-source Jelurida Public License.
The source code is included in the above release packages, and is also available from the Jelurida Nxt source code repository.
The Nxt Android Full Node package is released under the Jelurida Closed Source License.

The Zip and Unix installer packages are signed with the Jelurida GPG Key, fingerprint 73A6 4D78 91CA FF5D 1367 638E C654 D7FC FF18 FD55. The Windows package must have a digital signature by "Jelurida Swiss SA".
