ABDC series have started – Africa weekly conference and bootcamp
Started on September 5, the Africa Blockchain Developers Call series is a 3-month bootcamp for blockchain developers with intensive training sessions by world-class experts, keynote speeches, weekend conferences, roundtable discussions with global stakeholders, and pitch sessions for developers. Joining the race for digitalization and industrialization of Africa, ABDC has partnered with many organizations, and Jelurida is confirmed as one of the major sponsors. Jelurida offers €1000 to winners of the hackathon for solutions deployed on the Ardor blockchain platform, on which participating developers will be trained. Austrian Blockchain Award for HotCity – the ceremony
The Austrian Blockchain Award Ceremony 2020, organized by the Austrian Blockchain Center (ABC) and the Austrian Chamber of Commerce (WKÖ), took place on August 28. Award were presented to remarkable first-class blockchain projects resulting from a sustainable business model, with proven practicality and disruptive application possibilities. The HotCity project is the winner for Research category. It is a sustainable energy project using gamification, powered by the Ardor public blockchain, which aims to crowdsource tracking waste heat and redirecting the energy into the neighborhoods. The project is operated by various partners led by the AIT (Austrian Institute of Technology) - Jelurida is the company behind the Ardor blockchain, Picapipe develops the gamification metrics and blockchain handling, Digital Sunray is responsible for the development of the user app and Grazer Energie Agentur contributes with its expertise in the field of energy systems.
