Lugano, Switzerland - 18 January 2019 - Last week, Jelurida had the pleasure to attend the LongHash Hatch program launch in Singapore. LongHash is a global blockchain incubator with a strong presence in Asia. One of its most active offices is in Singapore, but LongHash also has offices in Hong Kong, Shanghai, Tokyo, Berlin, and Zug. More offices are planned to be opened in Silicon Valley, Kiev, Seoul and Dubai. LongHash has a proven record of building a blockchain community around the incubator, and they are working closely with partners such as the Singapore Fintech Association and the Singapore Blockchain Association, called ACCESS. Its activity with entrepreneurs is also backed by several relevant professors in fintech and cryptography, among them the well-known professor David Lee Kuo Chen, professor at the Singapore University of Social Science and involved in several government initiatives as an advisor and consultant.
This is the first 3-month accelerator program run by LongHash, and Veronica Torras, Business Developer from Jelurida, has been invited to provide mentoring to the selected startups that are participating in this first batch. This action has a dual purpose for Jelurida. First, to be in contact with high quality, curated startups that are in the beginning of their journey building blockchain-based products. Second, but no less important, building new connections in the blockchain ecosystem of Singapore. The country has one of the world's most vibrant and well-funded blockchain technology ecosystems working on real world solutions. This collaboration supports Jelurida and LongHash's shared mission to help companies easily adopt blockchain technology.
Emma, the CEO of LongHash Singapore, adds: “We are grateful to mentors such as Veronica from Jelurida and Michael from Stellar, who help LongHash continue to build an inclusive community and build high quality projects.”
“I'm excited to serve as a mentor to the LongHash startup incubator to share my experience gained by working with the Ardor and Ignis blockchain products, which together compose the first scalable multi-chain production architecture based on proof of stake,” says Veronica Torras. “As the former founder of my own start-up, I understand the challenges these teams will need to overcome - and look forward to collaborating on comprehensive solutions.”
