Ardor Hackathon Terms and Conditions
- The Ardor Online Hackathon 2018 (the “Hackathon”) is an event with an open invitation for every software developer to participate in. There are no specific requirements regarding education, age or professional experience. The Hackathon is organized by Jelurida Swiss SA (“Jelurida”, “we”, the “Company”), a company incorporated under the laws of Switzerland. Participation of Jelurida employees and their family members is not allowed in the Hackathon.
- Everybody who wishes to participate in the Hackathon is invited to contact Jelurida at hackathon@jelurida.com, stating his/her name or nickname and indicating the Ardor testnet account which they will use to submit their solutions. Testnet tokens will be sent to this account upon request. Requests for testnet tokens will be processed within 2 business days.
- Jelurida shall process the participants' personal data (name and email) according to our Privacy Policy. The participant(s) hereby explicitly agree that their name(s) or nickname(s) may be used in all of the Company's official announcements, press releases or articles regarding the results of the Hackathon.
- The coding challenges for the Hackathon will be published on our website https://www.jelurida.com/ on October 22, 2018.
- The participants may submit solutions from November 22, 2018, 00:00 UTC until January 10, 2019, 23:59 UTC.
- Each solution must be deployed as a lightweight contract to the Ardor testnet blockchain. Every participant may submit solutions for more that one challenge, may submit different solutions for any challenge and/or improve their solutions until the deadline.
- The source code of each solution must be sent to hackathon@jelurida.com for review and evaluation.
- After the end of the Hackathon, contract source code of each solution must be opened sourced under the MIT license and published at some of the online public source code repositories such as Bitbucket, Github or Gitlab.
- All solutions shall be carefully reviewed and evaluated by the Jelurida developers based on the following criteria: direct relevance to the core problem, uniqueness of the proposed solution, quality of the code.
- Jelurida shall distribute the following prizes for the winners:
- 1st prize - $4000
- 2nd prize - $2000
- 3rd prize - $1000
- The winners shall be announced on January 31, 2019. The prizes shall be paid, at the discretion of Jelurida, either in fiat or in cryptocurrency equivalent (using the https://coinmarketcap.com/ rate at the moment of payment), no later than one week after the winners are announced and Jelurida has received the winners' Ardor accounts.
- Prize allocation shall be decided by Jelurida in its sole discretion. All participants agree that our decisions are final and they are not subject to any review or reconsideration.
- Jelurida reserves the rights to exclude any participant from the Hackathon where such individual is found to be in violation of the rules or it is reasonable to think that such violation took place. Jelurida has no obligation to inform such individuals of the reasons of their exclusion.
- By taking part in the Ardor Online Hackathon 2018, all participants agree to these conditions as they may be amended from time to time. All changes will become effective upon posting and all participants are required to check regularly our website for new versions of these conditions by checking the date at the end of this text.
- By participating in the Ardor Online Hackathon 2018, every participant explicitly guarantees and warrants that the code developed or used in their solutions is not in violation of any third party's Intellectual Property rights or authorship and explicitly agrees to bind themselves and related individuals involved to release Jelurida from any liability in that regard.
- To the full extent permitted by law, Jelurida, its employees and affiliated companies, shall not be liable for any damages, losses or claims resulting from any person's participation (or attempted participation) in the Hackathon. To the maximum extent permitted under applicable law, we are not responsible for any technical problems, malfunctions or other occurrences, which may affect the normal operation of our website or the Ardor public testnet and as a result disrupt the Hackathon.
- The Hackathon and these conditions are construed and governed by the laws of Switzerland.
- All official information regarding the Ardor Online Hackathon 2018 will be published at https://www.jelurida.com/.
- The official language of communication between Jelurida and the participants shall be English.
